When I saw the first episode of Sajid's Superstar, I was actually hoping to see Koffee With Karan version no. _ (no its not an underscore it actually means that I have lost count) or Rendezvous With Simi Garewal version no. _ (ditto last comment). Which is why I was so surprised when I saw filmstars actually having fun on that show. We saw a lot of kisses-in-air and emotions outpouring with Mr. Johar and Miss Garewal but with Sajid, not just the celebrities, the viewers also enjoy themselves (without being forced to).
I never liked Sajid Khan and I did not like his movie (apart from the Baby in the movie), I surprised myself when I saw through the entire episode of Sajid's Superstar. It was actually good!!! A very refreshing change than all other blah-blah's.
There are so many Talk Shows on the idiot box these days, even Rakhi Sawant has her own show (not to mean that she is any lesser, in-fact her courage is commendable). With so much competition, how does Sajid makes his show so refreshing? Good question, but the answer wouldn't be an easy one. Still, lets make a humble effort to assess the odds of Mr.Khan's show.
1. He doesn't offer coffee, instead he tracks down the celebrity's likes/dislikes and gifts them something they really wanted (Khan ji one 49" Full HD LCD for me please).
2. He doesn't ask scandalous rapid fire scandalous questions; instead he makes the makes the scandalous questions a game, Kum, Zyada ya Zabardast.
3. His set is not white neither does he wear white.
4. His guests do not carry Louis Vuitton bags.
5. He is not politically correct at ALL TIMES.
