Ms. Reyes, its five in the morning and all I want is a little ‘caring and sharing’ as Ms. Gaines croons out in the background – what’s creepy is the fact that Rosie Gaines and Judy Reyes look more or less alike – That’s it I’m going ‘The Shins’ way with ‘Caring is creepy’ with lyric like “I’ll just go home and mull this over…”. Anyway, enough on the caring part back to the beautiful Ms. Reyes – Judy Reyes.
Judy Reyes portrays the caring but slightly jaded nurse Carla Espinosa on the series "Scrubs." Reyes grew up in the Bronx and became interested in acting while attending Hunter College in Manhattan. In 1992, she landed her first major acting role in the independent feature film "Jack and His Friends" opposite Sam Rockwell, and went on to break a million hearts in theater, particularly proud of her work with the Labyrinth Theatre Company, a multi-cultural acting space in Manhattan where she is a founding member and has served as both actor and producer on numerous productions over the past 10 years – and honestly I don’t see why – her acting is as hot as well… lets just leave that for you to answer.
Reyes' television credits include several guest appearances as Tina on "Oz," "The Sopranos" and "100 Centre Street." That is beside the couple of television movies, including "John Sanford's Mind Prey" and "The Prosecutors." Then to top all of that Judy’s feature-film credits are "Bringing Out the Dead" with Nicolas Cage and the independent film "Went to Coney Island on a Mission from God, Be Back at Five." That was for the acting now we move on to her production credentials – working as co-producer in a short film titled “Taino”, she took it one step further with a role in the same movie.
Reyes lives in her birth place New York with her husband, writer/director Edwin M. Figueroa – what? Husband – another broken heart – oh well as Glen screams his lungs out shouting “Nothings gonna’ change my love for you” I shall follow suit and become the next cardiologist.
